Grand National power Steering gear box

My Regal has a a brand new (1yr old) front suspension, Idler arm, center link, inners & outers, new poly Bushings, upper and lower ball joints, poly end links and sway bar bushings, with a GN front sway bar, with Oldsmobile G-body 307 olds front springs.

And the GN power steering gear box with the pitman arm.

Recently I have been experincing having a looser feel to the steering wheel like having to steer more before it seems to respond.

Im using a the power steering pump that was orginaly on the 71 Buick 455 that is now powering my ride.

Didnt know if the pump is correct or do I need to use the one from my GN i got the Gear Box from, because it worked great in my GN.

Didnt know if anyone has done this swap before and what they did to tighten up the feel, for a better "ROAD FEEL" and not driving a padded Caddy.

I have been using a late 80's Monte SS box for several years with my original '69 Olds power steering pump. No rebuilding of either the pump or the box. I have not noticed any looseness or sluggishness in the steering. From what you've described I'd bet it's your box that needs adjustment or gone through.

Check the rag joint before pulling the box. I think also there is a way to adjust the box.
