      2nd gen f-body alignment specs

I need alignment specs for a street car. If there are better specs than stock. I have done much with 1st gens but I dont know anything about how the stock suspension is on the 2nd gen. Just bought a 1980 Trans Am and need some help with carving corners in it.Thanks!

      Iirc

The last time I talked with GW. THis is what they recommended to me.
Keep in mind this with all stock suspension components.

      camber 0* to -1*
caster as much as possible while maintaining your camber spec
      toe 1/16"-1/8" toe in

i set about everything at -0.5* camber, 5.0-7.0* caster and 0 toe

GW only recommended 0 to -1* of camber on a 2nd gen that is to driven hard??? I would be looking for like -2*, assuming you are being honest with your intentions. As much caster as possible without sacraficing negative camber. TYou'll get a different answer on toe from everyone you talk to, I like about 1/8" total in.

      I should clarify

      dennis,

That recommendation was for a car that was primarily street driven. They did recommend more camber (2-3 degrees) for a track oriented car at the expense of tire wear. Also once again these recommendations are for a vehicle with stock suspension components.

Thanks everyone. It does have stock suspension at this point and I just put some new tires on and wanted to align it. I guess the camber curve is better on the 2nd gens than the 1st gens. Eventually I will atleast put Del-a-Lum bushings in. I suppose I will go with -1 camber 5 caster and total of 1/8 inch toe in. BTW I did check G.W. site and couldnt find any alignment specs.Anyway Thanks again.
