      air/fuel monitoring

I'm planning on welding some o2 bungs on my headers so that down the road I could tune the carburetor properly with a wideband setup.

For those of you not running a permanently mounted setup how are you monitoring air/fuel at cruise and full throttle??

On a dyno or do you just fish the wires from the o2 sensor some where into the car to tune while driving??

      Thanks
      Chris

You can weld in the bungs and thread some plugs in them for when you're not using them. Or check out innovate, they have some clamps that go on your exhaust outlets that hold the sensors. I wouldn't recomend buying them though. If memory serves they where way to expensive and could be duplicated at home using some scraps. I've seen dudes get those really crappy cell phone holders from partsource or wherever and hack them up to mount the control box. These work not to bad, they mount onto your vents so it's in eye sight. It looks really bad, and really shouldn't be used during the day in case someone sees how horrible it looks, but it works.

I had my console off at the time, so I just ran the wires up through the trans tunnel.

I'm thinking that maybe I can just run the wires through the shifter hole while I'm tuning, for temporary use (I'm assuming thats similar to what you did amcmike).

      Thanks for the replies.
