      Paint scheme

      Ok, my car:

It does have a SS hood, and I have fixed the fuel tank issue... no more 2 gal gas can.

I'm thinking a cheap Satin Rustoleum Olive Green or Hunter Green with Satin Black for stripes, bumpers, trim, ect... I have a paint gun and compressor so this would be like a $50 paint job, just without the whole foam roller thing. The paint on it was done to seal the car up right before I went to college (I'm done now), there is still some bodywork to do. My goals are to look decent @ 10ft. I would rather focus my time/money on the suspension, engine, and drivetrain. I just dig the whole army green beater idea. I think the F-Bomb has more attitude then any car I've ever seen, and while I'm not going to copy it directly, it is definitly an influence. I do know what went into its paint (much more work then I want/can afford at the moment).

      Inspiration:

What do you think? I do intend to paint it down the road, but thats not untill I get a place with a better garage, or a better job so I can afford to take it to a paint shop. Do you think the paint will hold up for 3 - 5 years? How do think this would look on a '69 Chevelle vs a '73 Camaro? Should I jsut paint it flat black? What to do!?!

I could have sworn I put this thread in the outhouse forum. But now looking at it I'd guess it should have went in the Paint & Body forum.

Go for it Dude, I think it will look bad ass. Just make sure you get a front spoiler, I think that seals the deal. The rustoleum will hold up a lot longer than you would expect.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a fiberglass camaro spoiler and maybe do a little extra glassin' to get it to look right.

find the thread about the GTO that's blacked out. The thread was by Mr Vengeance it'll give you a good idea of what an Abody looks like spray bombed. I think you've got a good idea though. I'm not huge on the green though but satin colors look great

yeah, I really like the look of that GTO. I'm not going to spray paint it though. They sell the paint in quarts and gallons, and I have a paint gun. I was thinking of mixing some green with the dark olive to give it a more OD green look. I think the olive color they have would look good, but not enough green.

OK, I got the paint the other day and mixed up a pretty good OD green color...

Now I notice the F-Bomb (lookalikes) camaro are going to be in the new Fast and the Furious movie... damn! Now normially something like that wouldnt change my mind, but If I hear one person saying it looks like the car from the Fast and the Furious I'll freak.

I used GM Olive Drap with flattener and hardner in the clear....It turned out nice and should have a life of at least 5 years...It is also darker in different light.
