what part numbers, cost, and fitting did you use?

as in, will the shocks you picked up work for my mostly stock chassis setup?

I am going to hold off on the part numbers for a little bit because the rear shock they had listed is a different number than the the ones I had seen previously. So I want to test them and make sure they fit before I tell everybody which ones to get. Right now I am waiting on my shock bushings to get here.

The will,or should, bolt right in the stock locations. No modifications to the car needed.

I paid $334 + shipping, which was shockingly reasonable. Also the rear's do not include bushings. So figure $5 x 2 for nice poly ones unless you have some. But still, Bilstein's go for $400 and they are not adjustable.

I might consider that if the deal doesn't go through on this other rear I'm looking at. might consider it anyway actually.

      More parts!

I think I'm starting to like these boxes showing up. Look what was in the most recent one!

Only a couple more now!!! I can hardly wait! Now I just need to find or build an engine that will be able to keep up with everything else!

      Thanks again for looking!

      Problem Solver!

So, My plan for my Gold Duster was to be able to hang with corvettes on the road course. I had the corners figured out. No problems keeping up there. But how do you keep up on the straights with a tired 318? Simple! You don't! You put this on a different one!!!

I was going to go Naturally aspirated. But for the deal I got, I couldn't pass it up!

is that an old gear drive NOVI?
either way, it will be sweet. put it on top of a smog era 360 with some magnum heads. decent mild hydraulic cam, single plane, home made EFI with a megasquirt ECM, and rockout. if you want to get really cool, back it up with a mustang T5, and explorer 8.8/

Thanks, I have to fab a couple more pieces and get some more bolts, then it should start to look like something.

Well I have all the brackets, but they are for a camaro. So I will be making new ones.

Not quite. It is a powerdyne. They actually make ford racing's superchargers as well as their own. And actually you are really close to my plans for it. I have a smog 360 with some nice J-heads, but I'm looking at a couple 318's too because I wanted to stroke the 360 for my other car. I can't afford the cam right now and the intake will be whatever I can come up with. I already worked out a deal for most of the stuff I'll need for the EFI and I was thinking megasquirt or a hacked mustang ECM( that is why I got a laptop instead of a desktop, so I could tune on the fly). I'm switching to a 4spd overdrive (though I have a five speed from a Dakota sport R/T that I will use if I can find a T-56 for my other one) and the "other" rear-end I am trying to get is an 8.8.

That is almost scary that we think so much alike. Bullet wheels and all.

Actually it was a kit for a Camaro. But I don't have a Camaro, so it is no use to me in that function. Luckily I can make the plates needed to adapt it to just about whatever I want. Also, remember that it has taken a good while for me to find a deal like this. But, I did get it for approximately 1/4 of what they are going for on ebay. So just keep your eyes open and you would be amazed at the deals you can find!

In other news, I think It will fit right where the AC compressor is now. Add the G-Reddy blow-off I have, and a little water injection and I'll be well on my way to serious power!

I'll definitely be keeping an eye out. Even the usual ebay price doesnt seem all that outrageous.

Btw, what kind of psi can those powerdynes push?

Well, they have several different kinds, this one would probably lose efficency really quick after 10 psi. I am going to run about 6. Which should get me about 375-400 at the wheels, according to my estimates. But they have some big ones that can go well over 20PSI. Remember though, charge efficiency and air flow are a LOT more important than just psi.

      Brakes...

Since I am on Fall break for a couple of days I decided to get some stuff done that I hadn't had time for before. So, I decide to paint my new calipers and install them so I wouldn't have to look at those grimy old ones when I go to the 17's.

      Before:

      The new calipers getting prepped:

Ready for paint with the others:

Yes, this is a very high temp paint so it shouldn't flake off when it gets hot.

All buttoned up and looking a lot better!

I'll hopefully be getting the last bits of hardware for my suspension tomorrow as well. then fab a couple brackets and I'll be ready to swap it all in!

      Thanks again for looking!
