      Hi, long time, no post.....

      Hello all,

Been a while since I posted here. I've been driving and enjoying my 77 Trans Am for a while now, but I'm finally getting around to start in on some improvements and upgrades. Added 17" wheels and Nitto tyres the other day....8" on the front and 9" on the rear. Certainly improved the tracking and handling of the car. Next on the project list is the 1LE 12' front disc upgrade....I've got new rotors and new B body spindles....just want to get a front end rebuild kit and do the lot while its apart. Theres also some Alston subframe connectors, front end subframe G-braces to stiffen up the car. Always another idea or project in the wings....lol.

Great looking T/A! Hang in there, you will get it completed. Like the wheels, they compliment the car well.

Leigh, I'm interested to know if you checked yet to find out if those wheels use the same bolt pattern for the center caps as the ARE wheels and are interchangable.

      Hi John,
Not yet....I have to measure the PCD on the cap screws and get one of the guys on TAC who has American Torque Thrust Originals to measure his.
Lol, I'll get there.....I've been researching 1952 Pontiacs to see exactly what it is that I bought the other night....can't wait to go pick up the new toy/project and get it home.

      Regards,
      Leigh

      Hi All,

Just thought I'd update on a new project car I've picked up. 1971 Firebird Esprit....I'm slipping in a 455, TH350 and generally working over most aspects of the car. Going to use a Formula hood but no other spoilers or flares etc. Interior is going to be somewhat custom...Corvette seats, one piece door trims, black leather.
I'm using a range of parts from Pro-Touring F-body....their GT spring set and quite a few additional body stiffening braces etc. I'll be running 17" rims. Been spending myself poor buying stuff for it....its off to the panel shop soon for some work, then back home for more work by me.

Sounds cool, Leigh. Post some pictures of your new project when you get a chance. Your Trans Am is looking fantastic!
