      Cuda from NC

      Hey all,
I have been browsing this site for some time collecting info while I rebuild my car. I currently own a 70 Cuda since 1988. It has been through a restore once before but not to the extent this go round. Currently not in running condition the car was a street/strip 12.2's driver. 383 automatic on pump gas. I have always been more interested in the slaloms over 1/4 miles but went with what was more available and convenient back then. Road course seems to be on the rise and goes more with my European heritage. I was born in Italy. Came here when I was very young but spent many a summer in Rome and Trieste living there for 2 to 3 months at a clip. Hope to keep this project moving along through this economy. We will see. Body is my primary focus at the present time. Have new fenders, full 1/4's, tail panel, dutchman panel and haven't decided on keeping the current glass hood or getting an AAR hood. Figure this is something that can wait till the last minute. Just finished cutting the door beams out of the doors and lost 46 pounds. Took some work but I think it was worth it. Engine compartment is being stripped and prepped for paint. Will post some shots of the car.
Look forward to being part of this forum. Thanks

Yeah, you don't need a hood.

Here are a few shots of the car when it was last assembled but still going through some work. Currently in Apex NC. Was white but will be getting repainted to the original color it used to be. B5 blue. Not for originality purposes, just because I like the color.

      Looks like a cool project.
I have spent many a day eating lunch in Apex, traffic is awful. Our company's training center is down the road at the Nuc Plant.
      Keep us posted.
