      Camaro vs Nova Floor Pan?

We have a driveshaft safety loop configured to match the floor pan for the '67 - 69 F-body.
Should this driveshaft loop also fit the floor pan of the 1969 Nova? Is the floor pan the same or similar?

      Thanks for any help,
      Rick

Pics would really help. I know that the front clip is the same thing between the Camaro and the Nova. Where/how does the loop fit?

      Here's the F-body loop:

The flanges are welded to the ring to match the contours of the factory floor pan at the front u-joint.

I checked with Year One and they show different part numbers for replacement floor pan sections for the Camaro & Nova.

Tell you what... send me one, and I'll test fit it for you.

Yes, the floor pans are different part numbers, but I'm pretty sure the contour in the trans tunnel area is the same between the two. There is one really good way to find out...

The pans are way different. The tranny tunnel in a camaro is far deeper and has most notably a highly angled tunnel. The nova tunnel is smaller and without the angled edges that put the tranny so high in the car. But, not to fear: We are hot rodders. We can do this kind of stuff.

Shuddup dude!! I'm trying to score a free driveshaft loop here... LOL!

Sounds like with some shimming, it could be made to work... I do test fitting for free, and take pics...

As stated by carguy, the floor pans are vastly different in some ways. In other ways they are identical. Because they use the same subframe, the mount points and the distances between the mount points are the same. If your front loop bolts to the frame anywhere, it should bolt to both a first gen Camaro and 3rd gen Nova. The rear spring mount points should be very close to the same as well. The use the same components and mounting dimensions for the rear springs. The Nova tunnel is a lot smaller. I would think a driveshaft hoop could be made to fit both cars, but your starting point should be a Nova. If you didn't make a huge loop for the Camaro and you mounted it nearl one of the common dimensions, it may fit a Nova.

We really need pics and dimensions.
