Rad Rides by Troy on Discovery Channel Tues, Dec 16!

      Pro-tours,
Our friends at Rad Rides did an hour long special program with Discovery channel last august at their shop in Manteno,IL and out at the Salt flats. Discovery follows them as they work on the Blowfish car to attempt a 300mph record. Check your listings but its 9pm central Tuesday night. You might even catch a glimpse of the nova. Should be good.

"Speed Capital of the World: Bonneville

Each summer during Bonneville Speed Week the Utah salt desert transforms into the greatest racetrack on the planet. Scorching heat and slippery salt brings racers to their knees as they attempt to achieve speed immortality."

Thanks for the heads up. If I had the kind of money to have someone build a high dollar car Rad Rides would be WAY up high on my list of shops to use.
Cars are meant to be driven.

Thanks for the notice. Watched it last night. Pretty cool, too many commercials and I wish they spent more time on the specs of the cars though.

Man I watched this last night and I really think Bonneville is an event that I need to take my dad to. Way to cool. Blowfish rocks. What a run and Poteet has some big Ba**s going 288 mph on the exit speed. That's smokin' for a short wheel base. Anyone know the specs on the 358 nascar engine that he is running?

The show was ok... a ton of commercials and I thought they could have got a lot more footage/action into it. Blowfish is a bad machine, saw it when it had the turbo 4 banger in there. I was kind of disappointed at the end when all they said was "the car failed it's second qualifying attempt..."

I saw it at a local show as well. I was assuming it still had the 4. What's now in it's place?

Not bad. There was a ton of commercials. More tech stuff would have been cool, but I guess they are shooting it for a wide range of viewers.
I am not useless, I can still be used as a bad example!

I can agree with all of you that said too many commercials! It was ridiculous! I would have liked to see more of the blowfish running.
