      Quickest/Fastest Car on Street Radials

I started a thread over on the Pontiac Forums asking how many guys run their cars just the way they drive them on the street. The kicker is they have to be pump gas, full exhaust and the have to be run on street, non drag radial, no soft compound, tires. Plain ole street tires. I know this will hang up alot of guys that have "DOT" approved tires, but for the sake of arguement, those are not included.

Please list your E.T., Speed, 60 ft time, type of tire and size.

      I'll start.

      12.56, 114, 2.05, Nitto 555, 295/45/18

Remember, Street tires, full exhaust, and pump gas.

Many of us run DR on our street cars everyday. My Formula ran on 315 Nitto 555R's the entire time I owned it. Rain, sleet or snow.

My Viper just went 11.22 @ 135 mph with a half throttle run thru 2nd gear. Couldn't floor it until mid-3rd gear. Nitto Invo tires. Crap-tastic 2.1 60' time.

      Should be a mid-10 car on drag radials w/ a 1.8 60'

I've yet to get any of my cars into the 10s on a non-drag radial. Most were in the 500-550 range and went 11.1-11.2 on actual street tires.

Street tires and pump 91 octane
      1/8 mile: 8.03 @ 99.88
I can't remember my 1/4 times and I can't find where my chic put my timeslips. But IIRC it was around an 11.5 @ 125.

Well with some race fuel and depending your definition of full exhaust. We have ran 7.57 on a 315 Mickey Thompson drag radial. 4.83 in the 1/8th and our best of 1.26 for the 60 ft. There are some guys fighting to be the first into the 6's on a drag radial. I heard they ran a 7.06 a few weeks ago. INSANE.

I also understand our car does not meet your requirements, but those radial tires can sure take some power.

I've been in the 12.8's on my Delta Road Max tires. Craptacular 2.0 sixty foot times. That was in Memphis on a well prepped track a couple years back. I'm making roughly 400hp, nothing compared to most around here.

I use 888Rs on the street, in all weathers, drive to the strip, Race, and go home again, Managed to run 12.5s, @108 and 1.5 60fts without touching the car, the toyos are 225/50/15s so they are not huge either, Bigger cam and more compression and the Possibility of running a NoS fogger sustem this year, so a low 11 is on the cards, and on slicks who knows, a 10???? may be possible. or take the engine home in a bag,

      The Buick has gone 12.1 @ 113mph on 1.7 sec 60' using 325/45/17 M&H Racemaster DRs.

You can sure see the difference between the DRs and the true "street" tires when you look at these 60 foot times being posted here.

I'm in awe of the guys running in the F.A.S.T. races. The work their butts off for another .01 here and there.

Yes the F.A.S.T. guys are very very good at sciencing out a combo. The guys that are really squeazing out every ounce are getting 1.5-1.6 60 ft times on G70 and G60 Firestone Wide Oval tires and Goodyear Polyglass tires. That is crazy.

Admitedly those cars are running on race gas with lots of compression and power. They can get in the 10s never the less.

It definitely takes alot of skill and finess to get those cars rolling. A very sensitive clutch foot for those stick guys.

      My best on 245 45 17 non R compound rubber is 12.4 @ 104. 2.3 60 ft. 275 60 15 DRs will get me 11.86 @ 109 with a 1.7 60 ft. Just found some old slips. Damn the stickies do a lot better.

I ran 11.01 at 143 with a 1.9 60 ft. I cant remember if I had Pilot Sports or BFG KDW. I know it was near 100 deg F and real humid that day and they wanted to kick me out, even though I had rented the entire track that day 'cause I didnt have a fire suit or chute.
