Both front speakers are on the same channel.

You guys seem to be going in a direction I like. Kick panel front mids and stock placement dash centres retain the 60's 70's looks. As do hidden and retro head units. I would like to recommend the ability of compression horns instead of A pillar tweeters. Smoother sound better stage/image. Able to overcome louder motors due to their efficiency. They sat in my 2nd Gen Camaro at the base of the dash and when trimmed in black acoustic cloth became invisible.
Here's some info and an installation guide.

Those Image Dynamic horn's kick ass. If you can find a place to put them and you can afford them you won't be dissappointed. They do require an EQ but their performance is amazing. Not only are they loud, their very efficient and the sound quality is awsome. If you could find a pair and combine them with some Image Dynamic Chameleon mid-bass drivers I think you would be rather happy.

I have a pair of ID horns in my avalanche, they sound great and dont take alot of power.
Just finished by audio system for my 69 camaro. I mounted a Pioneer receiver in the trunk and mounted a wired marine remote on a custom center console. The remote controls everything on the radio including the iPod. I will post some images of the audio system tomorrow.
      System includes:
      Pioneer DEHP4000UB
      Pioneer marine remote control
RE Audio 6.5" components in Roddoor kickpanels
RE Audio 8" subwoofers in rear deck
      US Amp AX5600 - 5 channel amp

Simple and clean, custom autosound in dash deck, they have an ipod controller module that will charge the ipod and control it from the deck.

Use the custom autosound in dash speaker for center fill, custom autosound (or make your own) kick panels and load them with diamond audio components (amazing high and midbass for the $$ - get them on ebay) then do 2 or 4 6x9's in the rear deck and make your own package tray (mdf and get speaker grill material) stretch it over the mdf and staple or glue...this way the speakers won't show.

That will give you very nice bass from the 6x9's and perfect mid bass and highs from the diamond components and center dash speaker (only good for highs and ok quality but not the greatest)
