Trying my hand...

at a rendering... nothing special yet. I have only done the outline so far and still need to figure out a few more pieces, but this is what I have so far...

Also, I could use some help/insight as to how to color it. I obvioiusly know how to fill it in but I am unsure how to get the proper lighting...suggestions?

i have photoshop and play around with it every now and then. i have lowered a few cars in pics but thats it. How did you make this????

I took a picture I found online and used that as my base layer. then I created a new layer and took the brush tool and painted the whole layer completely white. then I changed the opacity to about 40 percent and used the line tool to make short lines outlining the car, make sure you change the color to black for the tracing, I am not the person to tell you what to do though...this is my first time trying this...

you're using photoshop? Just change the opacity of the layers.

well I still want to make some changes to the rear, and I need to do something with the interior but here is what I accomplished, the more critiques the more it will help me, Id love to do more of these...

The biggest thing that I do is never fill with the paint bucket between lines, because you'll get problems with white showing between the line and the fill. To get around this, I use the pen tool. Press F1 in Photoshop and search 'pen tool.' read as much as you can on it, then find some tutorials online. Do those pen tool tutorials, and get a hang of it. The pen tool is one of the most useful tools for doing renderings.


The second thing that I notice is the shadow on the ground. Make sure that the back gets its shadow too.

I'd say it's a pretty damn good first try!! I've tried to start doing some stuff similar and just don't have the patience. My hat's off to you for sticking with it and coming up a with a nice render.
