      modified fuel tank 69 camaro

      Has anyone trimmed a factory 69 camaro fuel tank to fit in a mini tubbed 69 camaro????

      I have seen it done on some of the pictures on here but cannot direct you to one. You might try posting this is another section to get more response to it.

      my buddy did it on his 68. he filled it with water and drained it a couple time before the sparks flew. turned out good but not something i feel comfortable doin on a used tank. thats just me though.

      I was thinking of doing it to a brand new one.My buddy bought one for his car but is not using it cause he is going with a fuel cell now so the stock tank is up for grabs brand new in the box so I am willing to try it.I was just curious if someone here has attempted it.

      Check Mike Custom Cars website one of the projects had it done. Pretty good pics of the process too

      You can wash it out with soap and water and be fine. While your at it, might as well figure out your fuel pump set up.
