      Great to hear it !
Stay positive and level headed do the best you can and may everyone you have to work with be the same. It's hard to find a place with good people all around you but when you do and you can be one of them it is then a wonderful place to work.

Congrats. Working at a Ford dealership should be pretty good job security!!

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

If your good then you have no worries though. Good techs always land on their feet. I think you'll do well!

It's probably better job security than working at a GM or Chrysler dealer right now. Ford is in a much
better cash position than we are.

      Congrats on the job, Monza.

Congrats, sounds like a solid spot, let us know how the working environment is, alot of it depends on how its run and who youre around.

I always thought a Chrysler transmission tech would have a lot of job security.

Reminds me of when I was a tech. The joke was if a customer asked whats a good car to buy the reply was Chrysler mini van or Ford Taurus. It's not like they specified who it was good for.
Hey MonzaRacer, Your good fortunes are rubbing off. I just got offered a job in the past hour. Thanks.

You got laid off Tuesday too?! I got laid off right after lunch on tuesday, along with another 40% of the IT department.

And go figure, I worked for a major homebuilder.

Monza, your better off working for Ford than I was with my old company.

Yeah, funny how they try to soften the blow telling you how many other poor SOB's are getting the axe too. What burns me is the CFO pulled me aside on Wednesday of last week to tell me what a great job I'm doing. They kept the kid with no experience and axed me. Normally I wouldn't care but mechanic jobs are kind of scarce around this time of year :(.

Best of luck to you brother.

Yep sure did.Wife never found work either. We're a "no income" family at this point. I'm sure it will work out, but it's rough waiting on a break. The valley of the sun has not been kind.
