C5 Brake Adapters for 2nd Gen needed
Anyone have the aluminum plate adapter for the spindle to convert a 2nd Gen to a C5 front brake setup for sale?

I'm guessing you've probably seen my website on the swap for my 'velle. You're swap will be a lot easier as you don't have to worry about tall joints and tie rods.

Also, in this month's Car Craft the red 2nd gen. Camaro has my brackets on the car. Jim has a very nice Camaro with a swapped in LS1.

With the price difference between 6061, 2024 and 7075 I wouldn't hesitate to step up in material. You're factor of safety from the increased yield point will be your friend in this case.

JOE, what am i lookin' at price wise to do this on a second gen camaro? especially if i don't have access to a lathe to get the hubs done. Would you be willing to fab a set for me for a price?let me know, thanks!

The hub isn't too hard to do. You just need a little imagination. Checkout my site there are some photos of my hubs. If you have no tools to work with a local shop could do it easily.

Take a look at the 7075. I think you'll like the properties of it.
Price wise you'll be a heck of a lot better than the '64-'72 GM A-body guys. I've had guys scrounge around on 'vette forums and have put this system together for $300 (which includes some new parts). Originally Posted by DONGEE6773

The "hurdle" is the hubs (like RJ points out), but its really not that bad of a hurdle to overcome. I'm sending off a set of rotors today to have machined into hubs. If you are interested just PM me and I can work out a set for you. I don't know final price, but I can tell you it isn't going to be at the cost of custom hubs that are out there.

I am looking to do this possibly. I may have access to the parts. I can mill hubs if I get the correct measurements. I will try to get a nother set of spindles and rotors to do the swap. Do th brackets differ between the 11 and 12" spindles. I would assume so???

Actually, the spindles have the dust shield bolt holes (which you will drill and tap out) in the same location for the 11" & 12" spindles. Originally Posted by ks71z28
