Its funny how only acouple years go by,and the project seems obsolete {in your mind anyway}.Things really change from the time you start the project and the time you finish.Never saw the chassis pics before,but I like the tank chassis,it looks just like my mustang chassis.Crazy how this was the cutting edge when you started,and now 5 or 6 manufactures make c5 frames.Glad to see the thing being done,I always loved the project.Ron

Ironworks is SLOW. They already have the rear suspension 80% done. They have had the car for 2 weeks.

So the new chassis is wicked. We are thinking about doing the cantilever style coil over mounts in the front and rear. I'll keep you updated as I get pics to post.

Hey, Why did you guys take out the rear inner quarters panels with the rear window tracks in them? Are you planning on making new ones or just not putting the tracks back in?

With the ride height we are using and the tire size the wheel tubs will take up that space pretty well. it also made removal of the stock upper wheel tubs easier. Plus with the theme Tyler wants to do I'm sure we will see Lots of Lexan and other attempts to lighten the car as light as possible. Tyler is already talking air jacks and other truely race inspire ideas.

In light of our recent discussions I assume this has already, or is going to be fixed?

Nope that there is a grade 8 bolt, it dose not even need a tab to mount it. So a single shear tab is over kill already. (PLEASE READ THIS COMMENT IN A DEEP FOREST GUMP ACCENT)

I believe you have to finish something in order to ask if it needs to be "Fixed". Just to be clear we do plan to weld the chassis also which has not been done at this point either. We also plan to get some other tube locations figured so that we can incorporate the Transverse shock mounts into the tab that will go there. "TACK WELDS" are our buddies. Sorry if we are not good enough to think all this through before hand. Thanks
