Uncovered my Mustang today only to find it has a big door ding

I got an invite to take my 1982 Mustang to the unveiling of the 2010 Mustang, the unveiling is this coming Tuesday. I'm close enough to the SoCal fires that ashes are falling out of the sky like crazy, it looks like snow. So with all that mess I didn't want to start cleaning the car until today. So I pull the car cover off only to spot a big ding on the passenger door. What the hell??? That wasn't there when I last parked the car in the driveway. I grilled everyone in the family and no one will fess up to the deed. Damn! I'm going to have to see if I can take the car to a dentless paint removeable place tomorrow. Hopefully my manager will pity me and let me out for a few hours.

I really don't know anyone local I can trust. I've used a shop in Huntington Beach that does excellent work. They are mobile, for all I know they'll come to me. Either way that damn ding has to come out by Tuesday.

That bites Joey. Just ground everyone in the house till they fess up to it. Indefinite grounding sucks balls, so someone might fess up. Yeah, wife included in that one. Who parks there normally?

Ashes to asses, dust to dings I hope you find the right dentless repairman to make it so you don't see that thing !

That really sucks and I sure wouldn't want to be at your house until it all blows over and it has all settled.

I will go pray for mercy on their souls and the complete recovery of your door.

I feel your pain, I have a 5 and 2 year old. I think my kids use mine and the wifes 300's as bike ramps when we are not looking? I wax and wax, but them dings suck. I do not care enough about the 300's to yell at the kids though. I tell them.... Ramp on little Buddies, Ramp ON!

On top of that, Wife hit a dere last week and needs a new Grill in hers, I ran over a SkunK in mine...It felt more like a concrete cynder block. Skunks must be fat as hell round here? Destroyed my skidplate and put a huge bump in my front roll pan area. The SkunK paid dearly and the dere ran away? My truck is still smashed from my neighbors shed roof that landed on it in that helluva wind storm we had from Ikes remnants. My back is busted, so until I get better...I guess my rides will stay looking like Demo Derby material?

So, in short, remember Bud, it could be a lot worse and be thankful for excellant repair men and the excellant family you have! They just know how much you're car means to you. I remember not telling my Dad or my brother about a lot of stuff! lol

I also had 2 of my four dogs pass this year, I hope they chase that frigg'n skunk in heaven until the day I join them. Grandpa passed this year as well? Maybe he has a good ol shotgun up there and he is after that smell'n arse skunk as well. Yes, I am waiting for more bad luck as my black cloud has no bounds!

Also screw the manager? It is what you do, not who you are. I would definetly not give him a choice. Just say "I am going to get my car fixed? Do I still have a job for tomorrow?"

Good news! I got up today at the crack of dawn and was at the paintless dent removal joint when it opened. The ding is gone, I can't tell where it was, and I made it to work only one hour late (dang traffic!). I'll stay late to make up the time. If you need quality dent removal in the L.A./Orange County area I wouldn't hesitate to recommend www.beachcitiespdr.com and tell the owner Jeff Magill, Joey with the red 82 Mustang sent you. Oh and everyone at the house is in lockdown and on bread and water rations until the guilty party confesses. Meanwhile I'm thinking of getting some of those long rollbar padding looking tubes the kids use as floaties to drape over the side of my car when its covered and parked. I don't want any more nasty surprises.
