new guy from wisconsin. g body and 62 impala ss

the regal is my first project, going to be a nice street strip car. i am getting desperate for paint though, i just do not have time to finish the body work and no body shop will take it. the impala is going to be getting a frame off resto. and plan on doing something like this.

Got a little chubby going on! Day'um I love 1962 Impalas? The one you have a picture of is one I watched like a HawK on e-bay! Too bad I am jobless and broke at the moment! Nice rides man!

Your vision for the Impala is right on track. If you can nail that stance, you will have a sweet car. G-bodies are cool too.

thanks guys, i am sending the regal off to the body shop next week. im am itching so bad to start the impala, but i need to get one thing done first! the engine is just a 4 bolt main 350. i went .40 over. JE forged pistons, stock crank and rods. I went with one of them edelbrock top end kits. i like it so far, but i think i rather go with a Dart of Brodix next time. the heads are shaved down and proted. i am leaning towards mid to upper 400's. i hope to find out soon with some dyno runs.

Welcome! I dig those old school sleds. I used to race a arctic cat 250Z (grass drags) when I 16. Had a blast. The SRX looks like it was set-up for turns. Eagle River? 20 below zero I remember those days.
