      Bilstein Shock Question?

I recently purchased some new Bilsteins, AK 2074, multi leaf rear end, for my 68 Camaro. Got the shocks out and went to install them and much to my surprise the bolt supplied with the shocks does not fit through the shock plate. The shank of the bolt is too big. Has anyone else experienced this? I could drill the shock plates out, but seems to me the bolt should fit. I am calling Bilstein on Monday to see if I perhaps got the wrong shock. Any suggestions? I could use the stock bolt for the shocks, but the it does not fit the shock well at all.

I'll snap that pic today. However, the shank should slide right through the plate. No drilling should be required. And, as you pointed out, a smaller bolt won't fit the shock lower bushing properly.
