4l60e in 71 camaro?
Do i need all the linkage out of my 2001 z28 donor car w/4l60e or what? Could i get get an old style (b&m th400 style) shifter to work in my 71 camaro with that trans?

11-03-2008 #2There isn't any linkage with a 4L60e, just the shift cable. Any shifter would work as long as you changed out the plate to allow for the overdrive gear.

Thanks so the other two or three cables/connections wont be needed.

11-04-2008 #4Sorry, thought you were talking about linkages... yes, you need to connect the wiring harness to the trans. There are two connections, one is for the trans control from the ECM and the other is the speed sensor. Just use the wiring harness from the engine, it should be all one unit and have this wiring.
