Ron Fellows special edition Z06 with a wheel change

These wheels are from 360 Forged. For those who haven't seen the articles online or the books on it, back in 1968 Mr. Duntov had a white '68 roadster test mule that had a ZL-1 dropped in it. It also had black side pipe headers. Take these style wheels that would play off the side pipes, add the same style stripes that are on the Fellows Z06, and it would really dress up a white (add pearl to the paint) '68-69, or any C3 obviously. I'm just partial to the '68-'69 style.

      20x9.5 front
      20x12.5 rear

      Nitto INVO
      345-25-20 rear
      275-30-20 front

Amazing the difference in reaction to this thread here and http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=2161414 here The NCRS guys get very upset when someone defaces a Corvette. After all it's much more fun to drive a 400+ horse power car on narrow bias belted tires than it is with modern rubber I would imagine.

I have found a LOT of the guys over on that forum are REALLY picky (being nice). I mostly look at the C5 stuff and they are just as bad there.........

Still in the minority over there, but more and more guys are putting new frames under the much bigger $$$ C1-C2 project cars. The C3 guys seem to try and just update their suspensions as a rule.

I know what you are saying, but it is interesting (to me at least) that Bad Penny will be wearing 17's. On a C3 Vette I'd want them for ride quality. But I'd try some 18's.

It seems another benefit of 18s on a C3 is you can get a 18x10 with 5.5" on the rear without suspension interference.

Yeah, be careful with anything "new" over on the corvette forum, you get stoned, bias plies, 15 inch wheels and factory brakes are the pinnacle of creativity!.
Anyway, I like your ideas..I would even thnk about a rear spoiler (ala NASCAR) (black carbon fiber????)....would set it off (oh and actually provide some much needed downforce)

      Thanks Nick.

I clicked on your link... I remember your Vette now, very nice.

Those headlight covers remind of my favorite C3... as of today! Lol
