Where do you sell a Pro-Touring Car?

      Hey,

Where's the best place to sell a Pro-Touring Camaro? I'm thinking not EBay, but I could be wrong.

Where have you had the best luck selling a Pro-Touring car?

      Newspaper?
      Ebay?
      Auto Trader?
      Pro-Touring.com?

      Thanks,
      Tony Huntimer

All of the above wouldn't hurt to get the word out. Bring it out to some car shows (or any racing/car event) with a "FOR SALE" sign on it.

Ebay. It might not actually sell on Ebay, but the ad brings in potential customers. Many times the cars don't meet reserve, but sell after the auction ends. The buyers came from the Ebay ad.

Yep, Ebay is a good marketing tool... list it on every website you know that's free. The key is to get the word out since there's always a buyer out there someplace.

Hey Tony.. you can build your next project in the magazine..

I just sold my 69 and used ebay, camaros.net, here and lateral-g. The buyer saw it on both ebay and camaros.net.

The most important thing is your phone number in the Ebay ad. If I am looking for a new toy, I want to talk to you about it. I have sold 3 motorcycles, 2 cars, and a boat on ebay. Everyone of them was procured starting with a phone call. Ads are boring, I want to pick your brain. Plus you can pump em up.

Craigslist is popular everywhere now, but it is most popular in the bay area. I have sold many cars and 1 condo on there. And it's free. I agree with the above - ebay provides best exposure.

Isn't that a little scary to put your phone number on the ad?

      sell

i listed my last build on e/bay and had all kinds of bids but they didn't mrrt the reserve. but a week later i got a call from pairmount pictures and they wanted to know if it was still for sale. They bought it and wired me my asking price. so e/bay may not be so bad a tool to get it out to the public. Bob
