Help me choose an intake manifold/carb

I pulled the motor out of my 1977 Corvette and bored and stroked it to a 383. I have the Edelbrock E-tec heads, which means i'm going to need a Vortec style intake manifold.
My biggest issue is finding one that is going to fit underneath my stock hood. According to Summit all the Edelbrock manifolds won't fit, but then I called their tech line and the guy gave me the part number for the Edelbrock Performer (EDL-2116) http://store.summitracing.com/partde...6&autoview=sku
which he said would fit. But in the description on their website it says it WON'T fit "under stock Corvette hood."

So, for any of you guys out there, what would you recommend? Or suggest?

I'm trying to make some decent power with this thing (350-400+??). According to the guy who did my machine work and helped me pick out some of the internals said i should be closer to 400.

      Here is my cam:

It's also been recommended to my by the machinist that i run a 750 carb. he recommended a double-pumper, but i'd also like peoples opinions on which carb to run.

      Thanks!

That 2116 is 1/2" taller than the old school 2101 performer intake height. I think you can make it work in your car, even though the catalog/online says different. The stock type early 70's open element air cleaner sits real far down on a center hung float Holley carb. I'd lean towards one of those air cleaners and a 750 vacuum or double pump Holley carb. The height of the air filter stays tall even though you may only have a 3/4" or 1" space above the carb for hood clearance reasons.

Yea, if you'd use the stock air cleaner and carb it won't fit. It should with a Holley carb and '60s early '70s repro drop base. My niebor has a '79 with a performer and stock carb. He is running a joke of an air cleaner, that gets smashed by the hood.
