Where in TX? Sweet project. I went back and forth as to LS mine or not but in the end I went with building a healthy 455.

Nice one huh? Yea I was running it without fenders. Had to hold on the core support. After getting the ls1 running in the car I just couldn't wait to see how see felt.

That engine compartment looks Awesome !!
My first car was a '65 Cutlass. That is why I love my '87 "T". Very similar body lines.
I may be getting too old, but to me your front end looks like a '64 ??
I would Love to do a '65 Cutlass project

Thanks, the metal pieces are some of my water jet handy work. Your eyes aren't playing tricks, I posted a rear view should help. The car is a 65 with a 64 front clip. I'm a bowtie guy at heart and originally bought the car because it reminded me of my 66 chevelle I owned back in the day. I was some what led to believe that the car was a low miles all original only to find out latter it is a half breed. Anyhow I even have a complete 65 front clip I purchased but I like the 64 front straight line look better than the "impala looking" 65 front. Sense I have strayed down a path to retro rod and not OEM I stuck with the 64. I also removed all of the side chrome and plan to remove the hood center chrome as well. The current plan is to paint it 2005 Mustang Mineral grey.
