      Celebrating 23 Years!

Of active duty in the United States Air Force today! (c:]

At 0200 on 3 Oct 1985 I learned that my recruiter LIED! LOL

In the past 23 years I've been stationed/assigned to:

      San Antionio Texas
      Biloxi MS
      Oklahoma City OK
      Suwon South Korea
      Japan, Thailand, Phillipines, Guam
      Anchorage AK
      Great Falls MT
      Rapid City SD
Spangdahlem Germany... and visited everywhere Europe (twice) (c:]
Rwanda (for the refugee crisis in 1994)
      Cheyenne WY
      Colorado Springs CO
      Omaha NE
      and for now, Middle Georgia...

I wonder and am anxious to see where this journey takes me next!

Wow, that's a heck of a ride. Even though your recruiter lied to you, it seems you've liked the journey. Congrats on your 23rd!

Thanks Kevin! I could have retired 3 years ago... so yes I still love it! (c:]

Not sure if I'll do another 7 or not... but one of these days I need to figure out what I want to be when I grow up! LOL

What - when the recruiter promised lots of T&A you didn't think he meant Travel and Adventure?

      Congrats on your anniversary.

That's quite an accomplishment and I thank you for your service. I have a nephew flying F-16's in Spangdahlem. Just like you, he is still trying to figure out what to do when he grows up. As far as I'm concerned he was already there.

Congrats to you too and good luck on the outside! I'm not ready to throw in my hat just yet - I'm finally getting good pay and see no reason to give it up! Besides, I'm shooting for 75%.

I was in Guam from 85-87 I really miss there got to go diving everyday. I think you really need to request a tour to the rock (shemya). It really makes you enjoy everywhere else you can go.
