      Comments on this kit

Anybody surf Ebay and come across this brake kit??
I am looking to upgrade soon and want a front and rear kit. Has anyone bought any of these kits from this seller? Comments?

Looks like a SpeedTech caliper bracket which is a decent part. I cant comment on what brands he uses on the other parts but it would be hard to put that kit together for less than what he is selling it for. I mean rotors on ebay about $100 shipped, the brackets are about $160 shipped, the calipers w brakcets are about $100 a piece rebuilt with no core return. SO you are at $460 right there without bearings, seals and brake hoses. Add in the $70 he charges for shipping and you break even with the that stuff but you still need pads and his kit comes with them.

You may want to confirm that you actually get C5 calipers, not the 98-02 F-body calipers pictured.

For not a lot more, you should be able to get new parts instead of presumably remanufactured calipers and unspecified "performance" pads and cheapie rotors. If you are looking specifically for a C5 kit using a C4 HD rotor for additional wheel clearance, I would recommend giving Noel a call at Touring Classics. There's a link ---->
