wilwood front caliper not centering on rotor

hi guys this is my first post so go easy on me. I have a 67 camaro came stock with drums on all corners. the problem i'm having is trying to center the front caliper over the rotor (meaning from side to side. the correct installation from wilwood has the caliper mounting bracket metal to metal on to the spindel mounting point. this leaves me no movement of the caliper inward, witch is what i need to do. when i called wilwood the tech guy said we never had that problem.he thinks my spindels are not stock. i think they are. i want to know if anyone else has ever had this problem. i'm only off a 1/16 of a inch max.i'm thinking of puting a 3mm wheel spacer between the rotor hat and the hub, if it is off in the other direction then i can shim the rotor bracket away from the spindel mounting point to center the rotor. any ideas would be a great help thanks.

Sounds like the only solution without machining brackets or spindles.

^^^I concur..........and would not use spacer between the hat and the hub. I did not have that problem with my Wilwoods, but I have a 2nd Gen with stock spindles. I would lean more with machining the spindle mating surface of the bracket.

I would PM Frank @ Prodigy with this one......he is bigtime into Wilwood's!!

Im not sure if it will work in your application but most brake companys offer shim kits in .010 increments which allow you to move the caliper to center it up on the rotor... I shim brakes at work and they have to be within .010 or less.... a 1/16 is quite a bit.... If you can find a spacer to go under the hat it wouldnt be that big of a deal... I have ran up to 3/8 of spacer under a hat and 1/8 to 1/4 of wheel spacer in a racing application but it can be done.... Hard to belive Wilwood having any QC issues....

I am pretty sure I had that problem. I just cut down the alum. cylinders if I recall.
