      what about seperation at top of driprail

      im not planning on putting the drip rail chrome on.there is a little portion of the drip rail that is not connected.what is the course of action?weld it up?what are your thoughts on the no drip moulding?

      Cars that originally came with no chrome covers had a small clip type thing that covered the gap that you are referring to. I dont see why you couldnt weld it together unless it flexes too much.

      I welded mine up.. Looks good. No chrome..

      Mine is welded, ditched the factory bright moldings. Looks good. some shaping will be involved to make the 'turn' but nothing too tough.


      1969 Firebird, Black, Parchment Arizen interior, Poncho 383 (4" crank), Kauffman heads, TKO600, Moser 12 bolt, Wilwoods, DSE, Speed Tech, Koni, Hotchkis, GW, 18" TTI's, VA Gen IV, etc.

      I see in alot of the high dollar cars that they r doing away with the drip rails and I have always liked the drip rails. I guess if they rn't ever going to be in the rain its not going to matter one way or the other. But I prefer them. my opinion, usually not worth much though.
