mopar guys, 275 wide front tires?
I'm looking to get a real good deal on 275mm tires, I was going to get them for the rear, but if I can fit them in the front I'll do it. the wheels aren't purchased yet, so I can match any necessary backspacing. (the tires might have to be stored, but it's kind of a short term deal, which is the reason for the out of order purchasing)
car is a 1971 satellite (mopar b-body). going to be lowered a bit, but not on the ground by any means.
I found one thread of someone fitting 275's on a 69 b-body, might is be ok to assume my fitment will work out as well?

10-10-2008 #2well I've decided to only get the deal for my rear tires. I managed to track down a couple 70's b-bodies lowered with 275's in the front. namely, pure vision's GTX-R, by Steve Strope. He did it using the stock suspension (although custom adustable lower a-arms), but it also said that he relocated the fenderwell support bracket. Looking at the pictures of the car, those tires seem dangerously close to the fender, and whether it's streetable or not, I really don't feel like relocating any more metal in the car. I will live with 245's or 255's.
also the deal is on Goodyear F1 GS-D3 tires, size 275/35R19 for $131 each. The reason I didn't post where was not because I didn't want to share it, but because it's not a PT.com sponsor, and I didn't know how the board would feel about it. If someone wants to know, send a PM
