Which Rims for a 1969 Camaro RS?

Still trying to decide on rims. Help me pick out a set (not my car; all photoshopped). Car is a resto-mod, kind of hoping to keep it looking stock / sleeper. Car is mini-tubbed, stock width rear end, looking at 17" sized rims (no opposed to going 18"), 245/45/17 in front and 335/35/17 in the rear.


A - Vintage Wheel Works V45s


B - Wheel Vintiques Series 90 Billet Rallyes


C - Rushforth Super Spokes with Smoked Titanium finish (probably go with polished lip; not pictured)

I like all 3 choices!

I know that Torque Thrusts style rims are seen everywhere and on everything, but I am still not tired of them when they are on the right car.

For a resto/mod, I like the a) Vintage Wheel Works

It really depends on what you are going for. I personally like A the best, but C is pretty cool too if you are going for a more modern look. B doesn't do it for me, I like the Rallies, but they look odd all chrome.

LOL,that's my buddy's LeMans Blue X-33,taken in front of my house...and those are actually AR CL205's in that picture,not VWW's...18x8's w/265/35's & 275/35's.Looks like my smoked titanium Rushforth Superspokes off my Yellow Z/28 photoshopped in that last picture too...

You really couldn't go wrong with either of those choices but what color is your car?

My car looks pretty similar as the in the pics above. Le Mans blue 69 RS with white Z/28 stripes (which is why that pic was so close).

Any of the 3 I think would look good, just hard to actually make a choice.

I like the Rushforth's but I'm partial. We got you covered either way right now. Rushforth's or VWW, give us a call. Keep in mind VWW only goes up to a 17". We put 18s on MuscleCarJohns camaro.

If you want a 335 in the back you probably have to go to a 12" rim. 315s will go on 11" and there are about 3 or 4 companies that do 11" for a decent price. To me, the 3rd looks better, but the (18") lower tire profile almost looks tuner style to me. Im doing a 17x11" on my 69 Camaro. Not a fan of the 1st one.

Hmmmm, stock width rear end, did you move the spring perches? If so, you didn't narrow it at the same time? Less rotational mass is a positive thing and those springs better be out of the way if you are going 335s. Now unless you updated the suspension style in the rear.... That's what I'd look at, if I did it again.

The 335 Michellin PS/2 seem to barely fit on a 11" wide rim (their specs say 11-13 wide rim). Yeah seemed like a few 17x11s without a huge price jump.

I mini-tubbed it and went with a G-Bar for the rear suspension, so no dealing with springs and less cutting on my car (no upper shock tower). I didn't narrow the rear end because I didn't want the deep dish as I wanted it to look kind of stock, unless you looked really hard

But if your car has the chrome trim and bumpers like the pictures, I would go with the polished lip instead of the brushed

Pretty much what I was thinking too, polish lip would probably look nicer (just couldn't find a good picture to photoshop like that).

Wheels are by far the toughest choice of a build. If I were you I would head out to a couple car shows and see what styles you like in person. "Cruise for the Cure" is on the 27th at the OC fairgrounds and is pretty big show. I know Jon is going to have a booth out there with all the Rushforth wheels on display. Should be alot of cars to check to out.
