      Traction and handling?

I have BFG G force sports on my 1st gen right now (225 front 255 rear, mounted on 17 x 8 wheels), and I have very poor traction in the rear when I launch. I'm thinking of moving the 255 in the front and going with a 255 - 275 (on the same 17 x 8 wheels) in the rear.

The problem is, I want a softer compound, DOT legal, that will make my rear stick and still have the cornering stability simular to my G force's, which will stay in front.

BFG G force T/A drag radial was my 1st choice, but they are vauge about handling and long term highway use. Michelin pilot sport cup was another option, but I'm not sure about how they'll launch. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
