Widebody?

I understand that fender flares are considered de reiger in the pro touring world, but has anyone ever pulled off a classy widebody on a 1st gen camaro?

And I do mean classy. not cartoony

By De Reiger, I meant out of style. My French spelling might be off.

That gulf Camaro is AWESOME.

I was wondering if anyone had done anything more contemporary, such as the modern Berger 4th gen widebody, just on a 1st gen. Wider fenders, but maintaining the stock bodylines.

I had more of a "clean" appearence in mind for my "67. Just enough width to make people stop and say; Is that stock?

you meant "de rigueur" meaning "expected" or "in fashion", I would not say that fender flares are an expected part of pro-touring.

There was a mustang (I thought posted on here, years ago) that the guy split the fenders at the top nearly the whole length of the fender then added a strip that gradually took the fender out about 2" or so and brought it back near the door edge. Then he did it on the rear as well.

It was subtle and almost hard to notice except from an arial view.

Best part was there were no flares, the wheel openings looked stock because they weren't touched.

I remember seeing a 2nd gen comaro widebody in CC or HR back in the late 80s early 90s. Was dark green. It was sharp. I'm planning to bump the rear qtrs out about 2-3 inches on my 69 stang. not sure about how I'll do the front though.
