Well , this has been a long time comming - i bought this car 3 years ago and have been working a little here and a little there .( INBETWEEN EVERYBODY ELSES CARS)

its a X-11 ( Base with Z21 style trim group) Factory 71 Lemans Blue with withe top and standard Black interior.
Now its has a New 461 BB and new turbo 400 with a 3.08 posi rear.

It will be a Blue ( Close to original but not quite) with Black stripes and Black top.

Thanks , i have all the materials and im ready to squirt it .

Yes Darrin , its the same one . it usually doesnt take me this long on one project but i see the end in sight.
Not sure if i will keep it around for a while or not ...
I dont even know if i like convertibles ( NEVER HAD ONE TILL THIS ONE )

I have almost everything new here and waiting to finish it.
I would like to get it finished up before the snow flies so i can take it to a cruise in or show or two before the end of the year.
I never got to take the 70 chevelle out at all.

And i already have interested buyers for the convert - if they hit the majic number , i would sell it - But i dont know what that number is yet .LOL

BUT I HAVE THE HUGGER ORANGE 69 CAMARO WAITING FOR A FULL PT TREATMENT ....??????????? WHO KNOWS!

Thats going to be a pretty color.
Me like. Real close to Leman's blue, but like you said, it looks a tad custom.

      Big THANKS !
The car is actually a Lemans Blue code 71 ,but i just wanted a little different blue.
This is a quite a bit lighter than lemans but darker than the factory Glacier blue...SOMEWHERE INBETWEEN

I just got finished cleanring the underside of the deck lid so tomorrow after the local swap meet , i can do the inside of the doors and bolt the main body back together and do a final wetsand and then i can shoot the doors back all at once.
Front end will be after that and all painted off the car for a cleaner job -HOPEFULLY i dont get any color variation ...
last car i did the same way came out nice.

I should have pictures of the whole car with front end on and stripes on it by the end of the week.

STAY TUNED - More to come !

      Keep em coming.
Ive decided most cameras can't capture "blue" worth a turd.
Mine (paint) has flake bits of silver, green, black and blue. The camera captures anything from purple to blue, but not its true color, which is "teal." Cameras suck and do not show true life justice of some of these cars. Some do, but your average $200 camera from walmart aint gonna do it.

That blue looks gorgeous.... I can't wait to see it cleared. That actually looks like what glacier blue SHOULD have looked like. Excellent choice!

OK , its cleared...( the main body anyways. )
I'll take some pics outside later today so you can see the real color but heres 2 more in the garage ...

different angles and looks like different colors ( must be the camera )
and neither one actually looks like the right color ..but i am happy with the outcome.
