      85 regal with landau roof

Have a chance to buy a 85 regal only 63,000 miles in real good shape both body & frame , will be doing a v8 swap but would like to do away with the landau top, wondering what is involved doesn't show any signs of rust from the outside, was a southern car most of its life.
      Thanks

I'd guess you'd just have to remove the top and the moldings that go with the landau top and find the chrome molding the goes around the back window. If you do a image search on google for an 85 Regal, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

Also, the side quarter windows will be different as well; they're spaced out a bit to clear the Landau roof. You'd have to find a pair of those too, but that shouldn't be too difficult. Good luck with the project!

The chrome trim is riveted to the body. You have to drill the rivits and fill the holes. Also, when I removed mine I was left with a bunch of glue residue on the roof. Huge PITA
