      Auto Meter Lighting. 68 camaro

I was curious if anyone had any ideas of how to wire the lighting for six auto meter guages requiring a total of 8 #1157 light bulbs. Since I removed the printed circuit all I have is one wire from the main harness that runs from the headlight switch an provides a 12v lead. My problem is that if you hook these lights up in series the resitance builds up and the lights become gradually dim. I thought about leds because of their low power consumption. Any imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would skip LEDs if you use the dash dimmer - you can't really dim the LEDs.

Instead of wiring the lights in series, what about in parallel?

I used a painless wiring dash harness for electronic speedo. I just hooked up the 12v lighting wire on the harness to that of the lighting switch. Worked great and was very worth the $43.
