Welding experts
I have a Lincoln 140. My job uses Miller 140 and they rewired the welding area with 20 amp breakers and the welders said it made a big difference. I wanted to know if it was necessary to do the same at my house. Although I can't. But if its underpowered, wouldn't that just mean that I can not weld to the fullest capability of the welder. But if I just v-ed the metal and then made multiple passes would that be fine.

From my experiance with that size welder I would want a dedicated 20a circuit. Buy yourself a 20a breaker and 12 ga copper wire and make the feed as short as possible. You will probably see a difference especially in the high ranges. Plus lincoln states it should be on a 20a circuit. Just my .02.
