      4.8L/5.3L motor with LS intake

I have a 01/02 4.8L/5.3L motor. I wouls like to run a LS intake as it looks just that much better. Is there one that can be just a bolt on? or who make a intake that I can use ?

it is a bolt on, but you will have to modify the water pump outlet, if you're using truck accessories. if you're going to get one, might as well try to find an LS5 intake, because the flow better than the regular LS1 intake. however, the truck intake works very very well.

      He meant LS6.

There was no difference in how the engine was built; auto vs. manual.

easiest way is going to be by swapping out to corvette or f-body/gto accessory drive. it will give you the clearance you need to run the intake.

The f-body accessories look bit cleaner since it keeps the alternator down low.

You'll have to get a new fuel rail too designed for the LS style intakes. Your truck fuel injectors will work fine. However, make sure the wiring harness you use comes with truck injector plugs as they are different than the car ones. If you're planning to build the engine to the point of needing bigger injectors, switch to the car injectors now because the aftermarket injectors use those plugs not the truck style.
