minitub 66-67 chevy II
Hey guys i recently got a 66 nova. Im wanting to minitub it i've got a few idea's but before i go hacking away let's see any other ideas and pic please. Thanks for the help. Also its a leafspring car with cal-trac's. And i'm putting a 29.5x10.5w hoosier slick.

They do nice work but this is just my drag car so i dont wanna put a hole lot of time in making it look real sexy. I have my first gen camaro for that. But i will take any pics or idea's keepem coming.

Im trying to fit a 29.5/10.5w drag slick, I got the tubs cut out but im either gonna have to stretch the wheel opening or move the rearend back about a inch to clear the rocker.If anyone else has pics please post...

Haha i just jumped into it and sawed along my fraim railes removed the entire wheel well basically, folded and cut a 22 gauge piece of steel to make the wheel well from the outside for strength, then laid about 6" strips of 26 gauge aluminum on the inside to make it a rounded shape from where the old wheel well was to the outside of my new wheel well then the floor. The outside of the wheel well i made a piece out of aluminum too to cover up the gap bewtween the fraim rails.
It ened up up being alot of work. I had also welded in a comp engineering frame rail between the rear frame to allow the shocks to mount inward at an angle and attach to the inside of the comp engineer traction bars. This was all on a 68 Firebird but i plan on running 325 wide ET street radials 30" tall with a 74 nova 8.5" rear end and i think it will be fine. I have 28" tires on there now and i have enough room to do it but i also have lift shackels. Basically i wanted to say it turns out to be alot more work than you think it is.1994 Z28 - 13.52@110mph 2.1 60ft T56, bolt-ons, suspension
