Cruisin the Crest - August 24th

Who's in for a little fun in the early morning this month?
As before we will be meeting at the Shell station at the Angeles Crest Highway exit off the 210 freeway at 6:30am. The 27-mile winding-road drive is a thrill (if you want it to be,) as are the scenic views and the great food at Newcomb's Ranch. Bring any car you want. Heck, don't bring a car at all and hitch a ride with one of the others.

The early morning makes for a great run that is cooler and helps avoid the traffic that starts up later.

I am suggesting the 24th, but we can do another Sunday if that is not good for most.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate? Would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

I'll be up in Idaho (in the Camaro) that weekend. As of today, the Shell station is still closed. Hope you have a good turnout and a great run up the "hill."

I am definitely out for the 31st (beach house) and the 17th (2 days away) is iffy. My battery is at Autozone getting checked right now and I need to replace all my soft fuel line (no biggie) as after 10 or so years is is starting to leak at the fuel filter. That can be fixed by Sunday.

I might be able to make a Crest run on the 24th.

be careful of the cops, I would suggest the speed limit for the first 10 miles or so. Ask me how I know...only ticket I've had in the last 5 years.

Anyone for sure? I really don't want to make the long haul by myself.

I can't make it again. I probably won't until after SEMA.
