Tire Reconmendations for Camaro?
Hey guys I have got the wheels figured out now all I need is to decide on tires. I have the sizes narrowed down to 245/40/18 front and 275/40/18 rear or something close to that anyway.
Here are the qualifications tires must meet-
1.has to work well with handling characteristics of heavy RWD car (70 camaro with stock suspension)
2.tires will never see winter conditions but maybe rain from time to time if I get caught in a storm on a cruise or something
3.I live in minnesota and I swear we have the bumpiest roads so they have to handle some of that
4.as far as stickyness goes I will prolly only be putting 300hp to em so I dont need slicks!
5.as far as tire noise I have dual side exiting exhaust with 28" glass packs for mufflers so I better not be able to hear the tires over that
6. car will never see auto cross or drag strip prolly but street performace is needed for these tires
7.tire needs to wear well do not want to replace after 12k!
8. will spend up to $200 aprox. per tire but cheaper would be nice
I have been reading reviews on tire dealer websites but they are not that helpful one person will say they love the tire another will say they suck, and who knows the last time some of those people got an alignment done! I know I can trust the word on my fellow pro-touring guys. Any input here guys would be extreamly helpful, eveyone has been very helpful in helping me with wheels, thanks.

bump it up to a 45 series on the front so they're the same od?
but... seems like you don't need that good of a tire.... almost any 'summer performance' tire should fit the bill...The Gutless Cutlass, is no more.
