How about offering a kit with all of the pieces ready to weld together less gauges? Ask a reasonable price to cover your time and materials and I think they'll sell. Maybe offer a jig and credit a % of the cost of the jig back once it is returned. You could offer a gauge and wiring kit with an installation template for the guys that want the whole deal but need to do it a little at a time. Nice work though!

Yep... then all of the labor is on the buyer... I would think that all of the pieces cut from a jig could be done for $150 or so. Close to 1k for a dash is overly expensive IMHO Originally Posted by ebncrdr

That could be the cost without the gauges. Until you see how these dashes are built, you have no idea how much work they are to make. Until the production numbers are large enough, I'm sure Fesler isn't making more than a few bucks on them. ...and since there won't be many Nova dashes sold (due to low numbers of Nova owners building big dollar cars...compared to Camaro owners) I doubt prices will drop. You have to give Fesler props for even spending his time building these for the Nova guys.

By no means are they easy to make, at least not the first one. I built my own without good metals brakes and it took me around 25 hours. Metal is the way to go, nice and sturdy.

I would be interested in buing templates and instructions on how to make. For someone with moderate metal experience, that could be something they could make..... it seems like at least.
Nice piece though.... I am interested when the time comes. Not sure at that price, but if it was lower like what has been mentioned.
