Thanks guys, should be insured by thursday.
first thing I noticed is I really need a valve adjustment, remembering back I set the lash at .022 cold and that should be hot so its rattling a bit, Ill do this tonight maybe, at the moment I have 4 guests staying with me untill the end of the month, 3 cousins from Amsterdam and my wifes Mom, maybe I should be hiding in the garage.

      Taylor,

Paint was from all 04 lexus's that were Red, i did pick it out from seeing the SC.

Kick panels were made from stock pannels and covered in vinyl, speaker covers are from Audiobond.

well the insurance is becoming a problem,I took a new job 2 years ago and whent from 10 miles a day to 100, so 3 speeding tickets in the last 3 years, Grundy turned me away and Hagerty may do the same.

I know I am going to get flamed for this, but here goes anyway.
Its obvious you have quite a bit in the car. Insurance is not going to be an easy step either way you go unless your very wealthy and money is not an issue. If your like most of us, money will always be an issue.
I will probably do the same thing that I am advising you when my car is complete, and its the same thing I did when I drove my 68 camaro daily to work and back for a couple of years straight.
      1. Keep your car locked up in a garage if at all possible to keep it from being stolen. If you drive it to work, make sure secuirty at your work place KNOWS you and your car. If they don't take time to get to know them. It will pay off later. Once you get that figgured out,
you need to be coverd incase you are involved in an accident. All that is required is the MINIMUM liability specified by law per state.
IF you can do all the repairs out of your pocket in case you get involved in a fender bender, take out only liabilty insurance not full coverage. WTF you say?
Ill say it again. Take out the minimum required to drive your car if you plan on driving it. If you plan on keeping the car locked up for the rest of its life and never hardly drive it, then put the max coverage on it. You will have covereage for a $50,000 boat anchor cause that to me is all it is if it can't or wont be driven.
      2. call your insurance company and tell the you only want liability on the car, and the minimum allowed plus any under insured over insured you want to take out. I would not take out any comprehensive or theft if the car is going to be locked up in a garage when you are not driving it.
      3. I can drive my 68 camaro any day for less than $90 month, all day long 365 days a year. Im 44. Yours will be obviously a little more than that because of the tickets, but I say you can drive that car for less then $150 a month on just insurance.
      4. All your "bling" like your wheels, stereo, get covered on a seperate policy such as home owners or find a company that will insure just those items in case someone actually does jack your wheels or stereo. It happens.
      5. If you have fender bender, or have a wreck in the car, dont sweat it. You have enough talent and enough people on here that can help you put it back together again. Whats a $200 fender replacement against an insurance policy that is so high you cant even drive the car?
I know you did not put 50k into it just to leave that car in the garage now did you?
Again, this is what works for me. It might not work for you and anyone else, but it works for me, and I will do the same again every time.
