New 74 Nova Build Just Started!!!
Greetings fellow gear heads
I'm fairly new the the site (I had another account but could never post in the forums) and was just going to blabber about my car for a minute. I'm the second owner, my dad being the first. I got the car in high school and haven't been able to work on it due to my obligations to the Marine Corps for the last 5 years. I finally got near my hometown and started the build. I just got the car back from media blasting about a week ago. I sprayed a coat of primer to keep out the rust while I do the body mods and replacements since I can only work on the car on the weekends (I drive 2 hours every weekend to my dads garage).
1974 Nova Mods
Engine (already finished) 350 bored .060, forged crank, comp cams hydraulic roller, brodix aluminum heads, srp pistons, brodix intake, speed demon carb
M-21 4 speed (ready to go)
New floor pans and quarters
Building my own roll cage
Custom tub job on to fit about 11 inches of pavement spread
Can't decide between 4 link or 1.5 lowering leaf springs
2 inch drop spindles and coils
Removing the gap between the bumpers and body
Shaving emblems and possibly marker lights, changing to an earlier grill to put the turn signals behind it like hide aways
Custom hatch floor with fuel cell
Custom dash with 5" auto meter tach and speedo
Auto meter gauges in the gauge pod
And lastly that I can think of.....a copper orange to brownish color.
Pics of the tear down will be posted soon...and then many more as the build progresses. I appreciate all ideas and criticism.
- Project QIKENUF is finally underway and taking shape.
