some of the mitsubishi guys use them with no issues.

Make sure you keep the impact gun away, hand snug only then torque to spec and use quality anti seize to avoid galling.....buy extras if you can.

How well do they hold up once they are on. It will be on a second gen camaro. Will they deform where they seat on the wheel?

We just did some wheels on a 930 turbo Porsche and it has aluminum lugs from the factory. Car was 20 years old, wheels were still on it.

Yes, they are pretty standard on Porsches. My other car is a Porsche 914 with 911 engine, suspension, etc. (Can't own anything without modding it) and it has aluminum lug nuts. It's unbelievable how light they are. A whole handful of 5 lugs feels like they're barely there. As stated above, I use anti-seize on the threads, have a special soft socket, and NEVER use an impact. I don't allow the local tire store to touch them either. I just bring loose wheels to them. I don't know if there would be a problem using them on our heavier cars though. My 914 is ~2200 lbs, a typical 911 is usually not much more than ~3100 at most. Typical pro-touring cars are closer to 4000 lbs.

The centers of my wheels will be a satin black so i wanted the look of anodized Al. Bad reason i know but some of it has to be about the looks right??????Crickets???? My other choice was going to be just basic steel ones with the same cadmium plating that the ARP studs have.

Coolest lug nuts ever. We use these splined lug nuts on everything. Every one is like a lock lug, they are small so they do not stand out

X2...unless you're running sanctioned events requiring open lug nuts, just cut to length with a friction cutoff, deburr and you should be good to go.

The splined lug nuts are deep enough that you can run open lug nuts for race events, and the cool closed ones for everyday usage.

How much of the 1/2" ARP stud sticks out on your HD hubs.

Flange thickness at the stud is .850" and the 1/2-20 ARP screw-in studs have a 3.49" underhead length (including the ~7/16" long bulleted nose), leaving approximately 2.64" stick through length. Plan on .300" for the thickness of the rotor hat...that's still a lot of length to deal with.

Note: Maceo Motorsports sells some really nifty aluminum open, long (old T/A style) lugs, and they run them on all of their prepped vintage racers.
