Give it time, some one that knows about disc brakes will answer your question. I'd like to know the answer also.

I think if you did a search both on this site and on the internet generally you'd get a lot of information on this swap. Then, if you had specific questions about using a particular setup, I think you'd get the information you need.

You can use LS1 brakes off a 4th gen F body. Here is one kit to do the conversion:

Maybe I have my nova years wrong, but I think any solution you find that works for a 1st gen camaro will work.

Yep, 1st gen Camaro will work for a 3rd gen Nova (except for '67 Camaros... they don't use offset shocks). LS1 brakes is one solution, or you can get an aftermarket kit. Keep in mind that disc brakes will move your wheels out just a touch due to the thickness difference between the drum and the disc rotor.

It would also help to know what front brakes you are running so that balance is taken into consideration, what size wheels you have since that could rule out a lot of the late-model options, and what your budget is...if you have one. "Easy on the wallet" for some is not what it is for others.

What's wrong with your drums? They are going to be the cheapest rear brake solution hands down and typically have the best parking brakes to boot.

i am going to be running 17's all the way around and the front is a stock disc break i just wanted the disc on the back for little better stoping and looks better than the drums on rims that you can see the braking system. i like the 4th gen solution alot would be cheap to do.As for the budget i would say not a hole lot of room but it depends on what it cost to no rather i could afford it and or save a little out of a couple checks

Either the LT1 or LS1 fourth gen F-body rear disc setups would probably work well for you and have the added benefit that if you ever chose to upgrade the front discs to something with a little more capacity like a C5/C6 setup, you wouldn't have to upgrade the rears again at the same time. BRP sells the spacers to make up for the difference in brake offset dimension between the early and late-model 10/12-bolts.

You shouldn't have to change your MC/booster, just pull the residual pressure valve from the rear circuit (if it has one) and you should be good to go. When you upgrade your front calipers, you'll probably have to reduce your MC bore size...but there's no reason to do it until that point in time.

Those rearends are worthless as far as I know. You should be able to buy all the brake parts somewhere for less than $200 if that is all you want.

You will need two RH brackets and calipers if using the earlier 4th gen LT1 setup.

Yep... i have seen disk to disk rears for under $300...

You should be able to get the disk brake setup for < $150

you really only need the mounting brackets and backing plates. I would get new loaded calipers from the auto parts store to save some work and know that you are getting a good setup
