GM Upper A arm bolts. Fine/course thread?

Which is better, fine or course thread?

      Thanks

From a strength standpoint, fine is stronger. But coarse bolts are what the factory used, and it's easier to back them off for alignment. I think that coarse bolts are plenty strong, as long as they are Grade 8, they are usually 1/2" bolts on later models, but first gen Camaros have 7/16" coarse bolts and they work, but are probably getting close to the limit. I'm in favor of double nutting the bolts for hard use.

Hey, I thought I was going to be at Road America next week for the B.R.I.C, but I had to cancel out. It's Lola's 50th Anniversary!

I bought fine & put them on one side & then wondered if it made a difference. The A arms themselves are adjustable, so no need for shims.

      Thanks
