What do you consider classics?
I am new to this site, but not to building cars. I noticed it says Classic Cars with Modern... on the main page, so this lead me to the question of what do you consider classic? 25 years? Lets hear what you think.

To me, "classic" is a body style that isn't made anymore and is at least 15-20 years old. Even though my Monte is 20 years old, sometimes when I roll into a cruise night it's still the newest car in the lot.

If Im not mistaken I think the insurance companies...Hagerty and others will give classic car insurance for anything over 20 years. I like the idea of the body styles that are no longer made...as the years pass us by, cars we used to think of as new model cars will for sure be come classic. It is still hard for me to think of anything newer then say the late 60's and early 70's being classics because those were the "classic's" I grew up with, but that was also 20 years ago.

Ill go up to 30 years old...other than that is newer and no dice in my book

I think 'classic' is different things to different people. it has more to do, I think, w/ what was 'classic' when you were young, esp in high school. I still think of the '82 camaro as the 'new' camaro! my dad would say he doesn't like the 'new' corvette ('68 stingray) he prefers the older ones!
some guys still refer to the '78up malibu as the 'metric' malibu; that was 30 years ago! some guys never moved beyond carbs, air shocks and deep dish keystones either...Keith C.
