      Simple Question* LS1 68 Camaro

I have this thread in the electrical section also.

My harness said nothing about the altenator wire so I connected it directly to the battery.

The other day the altenator was generating 17vdc and now it's dead and doesnt charge.

I just wanted to check and be be sure that on the LS1 altenator the little red wire should be connected to the battery directly, correct?

      Thanks in advance,
      Jer

On my 2002 LS1 Camaro harness/alt/ECM there is only one red wire and it is attached to the ECM. The ECM controls the alternator function. The main charging wire does go to the + bat.
