Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?

I love robots. Always have. A friend sent this to me today and I was so blown away I just had to share it with any other geeks we may have in here. LOL!!!!

This amazing video is from Boston Dynamics showing some of the Robots they are developing. If this is the stuff they're showing us now, just imagine what they have in the works for the future because you know that these companies don't show off their products until they're finished. I bet this thing has been in development for over 10 years and we are just now seeing it. Pay special attention to the part where the guy trys to knock it over and when it attempts to walk on ice. The programming and engineering that must have went into this thing is beyond comprehension. I truely believe we are seeing the beginning of artificial intelligence in these machines and that one day we will very likely have robots on this planet that will remind you of the ones you saw in all those science fiction movies. There are 3 other machines on the site as well, click the Robotics tab.

      Robots rule.

That's awesome. I'm particularly impressed with the "jump over this square" at the end, and the guy trying to kick it over.

The 'slipping on ice' part is what blew me away. How the hell was that thing able to react so quickly? It almost seemed alive.

These might see service with the military for going into very dangerous situations. I heard that they will mount some type of weapon on them.
