Tt II Love Em Or Hate Em

TT II LOVE EM OR HATE EM?
Ok, I have been seeing a lot of people that no longer like TT"2's.
I have had three sets since 2000.
I plan on buying a fourth set for my project. I still love the way they look on just about anything.
Unless someone can post pics of wheels on they're 68 and show me something BETTER than TT's!

Love em but..... Starting to get played out big time :( You do see them on a LOT of the cars now. I think they ROCK on 70-73 TA's but may go with something different...

I voted love them, I also own some however I'll be changing them when I PT out the stance a bit more on the car. They look great on some cars but are sooo common, if you want different you have to change it up.

Grey spokes like the CL205's and D's are my favorite

Everybody and their mother have them and for that reason alone...I wouldn't own a set even if they were free.

Don't you have them on your Chevelle and a pretty similar design on your one of your other cars (the V-40s)? lol I like them but I do see a ton of them around I mean they are affordable, good looking and have been around for 40+ years so understand why there are so many lol.

john feels that the cl205s dont count as tt2s even though thats what they are with gray centers...
but im with john they are way past "starting to get played out"
when you got to a car show its like every other car has a tt2 or a gray tt2, it really that wheel design (5 spoke bullet) that played out...you see plenty of coys also. from a 32 ford to a 2002 trans am.

on that note, anyone who say their ugly is full of it, thoer a GREAT looking wheel and look awsome on anything, for me the problem is that their on everything... but hey works for american racings advantage!

HAD the CL205's on my Chevelle but sold them because I was tired of the look.I bought them from a friend to help him out because he ordered wrong for his Camaro so no...they weren't my 1st choice.

VWW V-40's are a completely different animal all together...a classic, period correct look...that when matched to a classic car,is pure money.Plus, those are forged right here in So Cal...as are all the wheels I currently own, those,my Bonspeeds, and my new Rushforth Superspokes I have on order.I have disasociated myself with all off-shore wheels, especially those with an American name built in China.
I've seen those wheels spin on a dyno at high speeds and let me tell you...it ain't a pretty sight. To add insult to injury, check out the amount of weight needed to balance off-shore wheels compared to any of my US forged wheels and I can tell you it's almost nil. Most of my wheels I have now carry as little as 1/8th oz...almost everyone of my old AR wheels had strips and strips of weights,lol...

You get what you pay for...have at it if you want to be like everyone else.

Have I made my point clearly...?

I love them,I have a set on my el camino and plan on getting some for ny malibu wagon. Both G bodies,I just cant see putting wheels on my car that are worth more than my car, although there are a lot of very very very nice wheels out there that include rushforth, fikse, etc.i just cant afford those wheels.TT II's are probably played or getting there but they still make some rides look good and for an affordable price."YOU GO TO A SHOW AND SEE EVERY OTHER CAR WITH TT II'S" Hmm!! I thought the same thing about almost evrey other car being a certain generation F-Body,are those getting played too!!!? But i must say My favorite year F=body is the 69 and no, I have nothing against Camaro's

I think they look great on a wide variety of cars, which is why they are so popular.

I'm considering the CL205 or Coys C-55 for my Cutlass. My decision has nothing to do with what is or isn't popular. I'm not building my car to sit in car show parking lots, so I don't care if every other car at the show has TT2's when I do go.

American Racing has been sort of a nightmare lately to get wheels from... and they'll even tell you that.

I'm a big fan of the VWW wheels, if you are looking a this caliber of wheel. We have been selling two piece 17x8's and 17x9.5's in their V40 wheel, and have been very happy with their turn around time, and quality of wheel. For the moneyl, and comparing apples to apples, the VWW wheels are a much better choice.

www.driverzinc.com to check out available styles from them. They are currently out 1 week to build!

I personally do not like the TTII due not to the fact they are ugly; it's just that they look universally good that everyone and their mother has a set. I think the ammount of sets out there has diluted my appriciation for them.

There are several reasons to buy wheels, but also important for me is that they make the car stand out more as an individual. If everyone has them, you lose that aspect. In summary... too cookie cutter.

Still think they look good but they were played out 7-8 years ago. 2001 power tour at one of the venues I accually took an informal count. For two solid rows I marked tt2 or other. Over a hundred cars in my informal survey and 56% had TT2.

I would still run them on something to sell it or temporary because I bought them cheap used. I would not run them on a car I call finished. Now the painted D verison still look right on certain cars and I would proudly run them.

depends on the car...stance...and size. Even then they wouldnt likely be my first choice.

They are a great classic wheel. EVERYONE loved them when they came out. That is why EVERYONE has them. I was 2 seconds away from ordering a set when my Centerlines caught my eye.

Do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before? Are you out there on the front lines, or at home keeping score?

I voted "What is a Torque Thrust II?"

      Ahhh….. Sarcasm

You need a vote option that said “played out”. LOL

Although, because of the price I've thought about buying a set for my car. When you're working on a budget you can hardly beat that deal.
